Steps for Setting up Your Hydroponic Herb Kit

  1. Unpack everything from your box and lay out on table or counter
  2. Open the Jars and remove the items (netpot, growstones, coco coir, seeds and rope wick)
  3. Find the white growstone bag
  4. Find the Coco Coir Fiber bag
  5. Find the seeds – they will be inside one of the mason jars – marked “Seeds enclosed”
  6. Take the Mason Jar and fill it with water to the 6 mark (just under the 1 cup mark) -set aside for the moment

  8. Take the Netpot (the little black plastic cup with slits in it) and the  Nylon Rope (wick) and feed the rope ends from the inside of the cup through the larger openings at the bottom of the Netpot – there should be a loop in the netpot cup with both ends hanging through the bottom when done

  9. Find the bag of growstones (white stones).  Pull up the loop of the rope almost to the top of the black netpot cup  with your finger and hold it while you pour in the bag of growstones so they settle on the bottom of the netpot and are about 1/4 of an inch from the top of the netpot

  10. Now from bottom of the netpot – pull the rope ends on each side gently so the loop of the rope rests on top of the growstones you just poured in (the top of the rope will be resting on the growstones)
  11.  Take the netpot and gently run water over the stones to clean them.
  12. Next take the bag of Coco Coir Fiber and slowly pour over the growstones and gently work the coco coir around with your finger into the growstones

  13.  Take some water and moisten the coco coir fiber with your fingers gently splashing water on the top
  14.  Place the netpot into the jar – both rope ends should be at the bottom of the jar submersed in water.
  15.  You can take the jar lid ring and screw on top or you can leave it off – its up to you on how you want it to look
  16. Now For the Seeds make little 3-4 holes with your fingers or a pencil tip works good around the top of netpot
  17. You Can use the saucer part of the lid as labels – write the herb name with a sharpee and place it in the wooden holder – place the jar in the wood container on top of the label.

  18. You are done for now – let the jars sit – you will start to see sprouts normally within a week.

  19. You will not have to water after this point until you see water get low in the jar.  When its low just add more water – pour through the sides of the growstones.
